Our engineers are all Gas Safe registered engineers.

Why is this important?

By law, all landlords must carry out annual gas safety checks and provide tenants with copies of the records of these within 28 days. The checks must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

We regularly carry out such checks and provide the relevant certificate – just give us a call. We will also remind you when the next annual check needs to be carried out.

Are there any other things that a landlord should be aware of?

We strongly recommend having carbon monoxide (CO) alarms. However, these are not replacements for regular maintenance and safety checks by one of our Gas Safe registered engineers.

We supply CO alarms, which comply with British Standard EN 50291 and carry a British or European approval mark, such as Kitemark. We also ensure that all of our CO alarms are installed and maintained in line with the manufacturer’s instructions.

What about Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) appliances?

A landlord’s duties for LPG appliances are the same as for natural gas. Landlords must arrange for maintenance by a Gas Safe registered engineer for all LPG appliances they own and provide to tenants, and they must have a Gas Safe registered engineer carry out a safety check at least every 12 months.

How will I know that your engineers are Gas Safe engineers?

All of our engineers are Gas Safe registered and carry ID cards that tell you which appliances they are qualified to work on.

How can I find out more about gas safety?

If you want to know more about gas safety for tenants and landlords, go to the Health and Safety Executive website.
